GIVING TO THE YOUTH OF TEXAS
The Texas 4-H Foundation had its early beginning as an informal committee known as the Texas 4-H Recognition Committee. Begun by an interested group of businessmen in the early 1950s, the Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1962. The Foundation has the mission of developing the support of the private sector for 4-H educational programs and activities.
In fulfilling its role, the various levels of support arranged by the Texas 4-H Foundation serve to enrich educational programs and activities. These programs are staffed, managed, and promoted in cooperation with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, The Texas A&M University System.
